In Maple Leaf preschools teachers focus on all areas of learning, They help children to develop in many ways-physically, socially, emotionally, in language and literacy, and in cognitive skills. Little Maple Leafers expand their knowledge in a happy learning environment through real-world experiences and creative activities.
This week our preschoolers have been wrapping up the Food Unit. Children learned food vocabulary, practiced new sentence structures. They sang and danced to lots of food songs, tried their hands on DIY food projects.
After reading an interesting story “Here you are” about visiting the restaurant and having lunch with friends, we set up a small area as a restaurant. The Pretend Restaurant Play gave the children a hands-on way to explore the concept, the language, the social skills, manners, culture, and so much more!
Children love to play games! Students who volunteered to be waiters and chefs had their uniforms with the name tags on. It helped them to get into their “character” easily. Waiters prepared their order pads with the pencils and welcomed the customers. Chefs introduced all available dishes in the kitchen.
The rest of the students pretended to be customers. Customers have been offered colorful menu sets to order their favorite food. They practiced words and sentences they`ve learned through the dialogue with chefs and waiters. The “staff” of the restaurant worked really hard to welcome the customers, take orders, and deliver the dishes.
The little ones had so much fun whilst learning! Let them grow and prosper in a safe and comfortable environment of Maple Leaf! Teachers are proud of you all and believe in your bright future!
“在枫叶预科班,老师们关注孩子们的各方面学习,帮助孩子们在身体、社交、情感、语言、识字、认知能力等方面得到多方面的发展。小枫叶预科班的孩子们在快乐的学习环境中,通过真实世界的体验和创造性的活动拓展知识面。
本周,我们预科班的孩子们对食物单元进行了学习。孩子们学习了食物词汇,练习了新的句子结构。他们唱着歌,跳着歌,试着做了很多食物的DIY项目。
在读了一个关于和朋友一起去餐厅用餐的故事后,我们布置了一个小区域作为餐厅。这次的 "模拟餐厅"游戏让孩子们亲身体验了一下餐厅的概念、语言、交际能力、礼仪、文化等方面的知识,让孩子们有了一个亲身探索的机会!
孩子们都很喜欢做游戏! 自告奋勇当服务员和厨师的同学们都把自己的工作服贴上了姓名牌。这让他们很容易就进入了自己的 "角色"。服务员们拿着铅笔准备好点菜板,迎接客人的到来。厨师们在厨房里介绍了所有的菜品。
其余的同学们则假装成了顾客。顾客们纷纷拿出五颜六色的菜谱,点出自己喜欢的菜品。在与厨师和服务员的对话中,他们练习了所学的单词和句子。餐厅的 "工作人员 "们非常努力地接待顾客,接单,送菜。
小朋友们在学习的过程中玩得很开心。让他们在枫叶安全、舒适的环境中成长、茁壮成长! 老师们为你们感到骄傲,相信你们会有一个美好的未来!”
